Urge surfing helps you pause, Habit Bandz makes it easy. Developed in 1985, Urge surfing is a mindfulness technique that helps manage unwanted impulses. Habit Bandz puts this technique directly into your hands.

  • Start by noticing that moment of discomfort — maybe it’s tension, anxiety, or the itch to pick, scroll, or eat. That’s the wave starting to rise.

  • Instead of fighting the urge, simply tap Habit Bandz. The vibration grounds your awareness and creates space between the urge and your reaction.

  • Focus on the sensation in your body. Keep tapping or fidgeting with the band for 2–4 minutes. Let the urge rise and fall like a wave — without acting on it. This is urge surfing in action.
